We are excited to be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March, a wonderful opportunity to promote a love of reading and celebrate our favourite stories.

On this day, children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. Costumes can be as simple or as creative as you like – homemade outfits are absolutely welcome, and there is no expectation to buy anything new.

To help keep the focus on books and stories, we kindly ask that football kits or sports shirts are not worn on this day. Instead, please try to tailor costumes to a book character, helping us to fully celebrate the joy of reading.

Throughout the day, the children will take part in a range of fun, book‑themed activities to celebrate reading and storytelling. We look forward to seeing the fantastic characters come to life and sharing our love of books together!
