Starting school is such an exciting milestone, filled with new experiences, new friendships and endless opportunities to learn and grow. Our aim is to create a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, safe and confident to explore the world around them.

To help your child feel settled and confident before September, we have planned a series of fun and welcoming transition events: 

✨ Stay and Play Session: Thursday 18th June 2026, 10am – 11.30am 
A relaxed opportunity for you and your child to explore the Reception classroom together, meet staff, and begin to get to know new friends. 

🐉 Dragon Hunt: Wednesday 1st July 2026, 09:30am – 11:00am 
Children are invited to take part in an exciting Dragon Hunt inspired by the story When a Dragon Goes to School by Caryl Hart. Through storytelling, imaginative play and outdoor exploration, this fun, story‑led experience will gently support children in building early friendships and confidence as they begin their Reception journey. 

🎵 Music and Movement Session: Friday 10th July, 09:30am – 10:30am 
A lively session filled with singing and stories. This helps your child become familiar with the routines of the day while developing confidence and independence. 

In Reception, we believe wholeheartedly in learning through play, curiosity and meaningful experiences. We can already picture your child discovering new stories, building imaginative worlds, experimenting, asking brilliant questions and developing their independence every single day.
