Our School

Heron Park Primary Academy is a two-form entry primary school. We are part of the Aurora Academies Trust family. We are very proud of our lovely school. If you have any questions please get in touch with Mrs Streeter & Miss Beckett in the office 01323 502525 or heronparkoffice@auroraacademies.org

Heron Park joined the Aurora family in 2012. Prior to this, the school began as the Hampden Park Council School in 1911 for 240 juniors and infants. In November 1949, the junior school moved to new premises on the eastern side of The Hydneye and became known as Highfield County Junior School. Only part of the building had been completed at this time and the whole school was officially opened by the Duke of Devonshire on 20 November 1951.

Heron Park pupils wear a distinctive raspberry uniform with pride - except for the school prefects who can earn a black jumper, tie and blazer. The school has a Nursery and educates up to 450 pupils. Heron Park is a real hub for the community and we are all committed to developing the whole child, with strength in opportunities for music, sport and artistic development.
