Welcome

I am privileged to introduce you to Heron Park Primary Academy and to our school website. We believe that children are able to flourish in a happy, supportive, safe and purposeful learning environment. We pride ourselves on our warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, where all members of the community feel very much part of our Heron Park family.

At Heron Park, we want our pupils to thrive in their education so that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to have fulfilled futures in an ever-changing society. Our vision is for our children to reach their potential, demonstrating Quality, Excellence and Passion in everything they do. To realise this, every moment of school life is underpinned by our core values: Respect, Curiosity, Independence, Resilience and Aspiration.

Staff, supported by our Local Board of Governors, promote high standards and deliver a rich and ambitious curriculum underpinned by our values. Our dynamic and broad curriculum excites and stimulates children's imaginations, creativity and their critical thinking in all subjects.

Heron Park is a two - form entry Primary School catering for all pupils from Nursery all the way through to Year 6. The school is situated in Eastbourne. We have access to school gardens, a large playing field and a forest for outdoor learning.  We also make use of Eastbourne's wonderful coastline, visiting the beach for specific lessons. All these resources, along with our school animals (our Goats, Chickens, Tortoises, Frogs and Bearded Dragon), enrich learning experiences across the curriculum.

I do hope that you find the website, alongside our school Facebook page, useful in helping you discover more about the opportunities for each individual at our wonderful school.
