Pupils are nurtured in an environment that values kindness, and every moment of school life is guided by our core values: Respect, Curiosity, Independence, Resilience, and Aspiration.

We foster a love of learning by creating engaging, supportive spaces where children feel inspired to explore, question, and grow. Through high-quality teaching and a culture of encouragement, we help every child become confident, capable, and ready to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

Our dedicated staff, supported by the Local Board of Governors, promote high standards and deliver a rich, ambitious curriculum rooted in our values. This broad and exciting curriculum stimulates imagination, creativity, and critical thinking across all subjects.

Heron Park is a lively two-form entry primary school, welcoming children from Nursery through to Year 6. Located in the heart of Eastbourne, we are fortunate to enjoy a wealth of outdoor learning opportunities — from our school gardens and large playing field to our very own forest area. We also make the most of Eastbourne’s stunning coastline, using the beach as an inspiring setting for selected lessons. These unique resources — along with our much-loved school animals — help bring learning to life across the curriculum.

We are incredibly proud of the happy, supportive, and welcoming atmosphere at Heron Park, where every member of our community is part of the school family. We warmly invite you to explore our website, visit our Facebook page, and most importantly, come and see our school in person — we’d love to welcome you.
