Meet our team

All of our staff are fully qualified and undergo an extensive induction programme, and participate in a continuous professional development programme throughout the year.

At any one time there is a member of staff of whom is First Aid trained on site. All staff  are checked by the Disclosure & Barring Service as part of our recruitment process.

Our Nursery is regulated by the requirements of the National Standards for Daycare, which state there must be a minimum ratio of adults carers to each group of children.

• 2-3 years, 1 adult to 4 children
• 3-5 years, 1 adult to 8 children

In practise, we often have higher numbers of adults to children than this statutory minimum.

Jackie Hance – Nursery Manager/SENCo

Jackie has a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and over 16 years experience working with children in a range of settings. This includes a number of years’ experience working in nurseries with children aged 0-5 including taking on the role of Manager to cover maternity leave. She gained a Montessori early years qualification whilst working in a Montessori pre-school.

Jackie spent three summers working in Spain and Greece caring for children whilst they were on holiday.

She also worked as a nanny in a family home before having a short break to care for her own son.

Jess Williams - Deputy Nursery Manager

Jess has an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Childcare and Education and has a wealth of experience working with children across different settings.  Jess has worked as a Nursery Assistant in a private London setting and has provided learning environments for children ranging from 6 months to those who are preparing for the first year of primary school. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed various roles including a Practitioner, Senior Practitioner, Room Leader and now Deputy Manager.
